Eri Rearing

By ricini, Jan 10 2019 11:25AM

Eri rearing has started with fresh stock. First brood eggs have been laid & the first of these are now hatching. The silkworms are fed privet during the Winter months & Caster leaves in the Summer.

Only a small amount of silk will be produced with rearing kept to a minimum at present.

This is a picture of the moths mating & first eggs laid at the very bottom of the picture, under the bottom female.
